Jaclyn Feldman is inspired by the physical and emotional world around her. She wants the viewer to be drawn in to the emotion of her pieces, regardless of whether these works are representational, surreal, or abstract. Her earlier pieces were done to capture what she saw, and/or to make a statement. Her more recent works are more apt to prod the viewer to think about what they are seeing and perhaps ask,"What is that all about?"

Ms. Feldman has not had any "formal" training in art, but has, since her late thirties, taken adult education classes and workshops with students and teachers who have taken an interest in her work and critiqued them in order for her to grow and improve. Her work has been displayed in the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery in Dix Hills, The Petite Gallery in Huntington, The Alcove Gallery in Freeport, Lazy Days in Long Beach, the Lynbrook and Long Beach Library galleries and other venues.
