Mary's art education began at The Art Academy of Cincinnati. Many years later, after marriage and five children, she completed a BA degree majoring in Visual Art at Goddard College in Plainfiled Vermont. She also studied at The Boston Museum School, The Museum School in Aberdeen Scotland and Vermont State Crafts Center, Middlebury. She received an MS degree in Mental Health Counseling at C.W. Post University, Brookville, NY and was employed as an art therapist and mental health therapist/case manager for many years.
Mary continues to teach both children and adult's classes at the Long Beach Community Center and conducts workshops and demonstrations at various art leagues across Long Island.
