A Joint Artistic/Community Building Venture

Painting for Seniors and Family Paint Nights are two events that have been taking place for the past two months in the Conference Room at 225 West Park Avenue and in the Conference Room at 500 Centre Street in Long Beach. The purpose of these events is first, to engage and entertain residents by providing them with public spaces within which they will create works of art together. The second goal is to provide residents, especially the elderly and children, with the opportunity to work with and learn skills from professional artists, and to build relationships.

These events are currently being sponsored jointly by the Long Beach Art League, Artists in Partnership,
the Long Beach Arts Council, the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Housing Authority.
